No one likes to deal with a damaged swimming pool or spa, but repairs are going to be needed at some point. Before you start to panic, call the swimming pool contractor who installed your pool, and ask him to assess the damage and give you estimates. In the case of having to use a new contractor for the repair of your pool, make sure that you are dealing with a company that is experienced with the material that has been used for the original pool. After you receive estimates, you might want to consider remodeling or adding landscape features, as this would be the perfect time to change the pool’s appearance (if it is in your budget). For a simple repair the cost should not be as high as a rebuild or a remodel unless the damage is very extensive. If the price is comparable, it might be worth it to explore all of your options.
